Warrnambool | A City for Living

Caroline Healey

Caroline paints acrylic on canvas paintings of the local landscape. She sells paintings, fine art prints and merchandise through exhibitions, galleries, shops and cafes. You can often find her hosting workshops and in summer you can find her at local mark

Caroline Healey is a painter whose acrylic-on-canvas seascapes, landscapes and skies of South West Victoria and South Australia show her keen observational skills through exuberant vibrancy of colour, light, texture and form.

Originally from the UK, she moved to Warrnambool in 2014. Artistically, Caroline is heavily influenced by her immediate surroundings.

Caroline has won several art prizes, the most recent being first prize in the acrylic paint category at the Warrnambool & District Artists’ Society Annual Awards Exhibition (2025), People’s Choice Award at Hoop Gallery’s Small Works Exhibition (2023), the inaugural Queenscliff Art Prize (2022) and the People’s Choice Award at Blarney Books and Art’s annual Biblio Art Prize (2021).

In April 2021, Caroline showed her work with contemporary artist Tim Freeman. In January 2020, Caroline held her second solo show at The F Project, Warrnambool. Her first solo show was held in 2016. Achievements include Bendigo Bank commissioning a 3x2 metre mural for the Warrnambool branch in 2019. In 2016, Epworth Healthcare purchased a six metre long painting of The Twelve Apostles by Caroline for the newly built South West Regional Cancer Centre.

Caroline aims to capture the feeling of joy and exuberance her local natural environment holds for her.
