Gus is a sound artist, composer, studio producer & touring musician from Port Fairy with a history of work in Film Scores, Sound Design, gallery work and recording projects both solo and with bands and artists collaboratively.
He was a long-time member and producer for postmodern Synthpop collective Architecture in Helsinki and worked through Electric Dreams Studio as a composer/producer on numerous Film, TV, radio & Advertising projects. He has been a member of the MESS Synthesizer Orchestra on three occasions including the 2026 Hear My Eyes presentation of a new score for Terminator 2 Judgment Day.
Gus has also previously worked with Hear My Eyes as a Sound Design & Re-Recording Mixer for the new live score presentations of Suspiria, Hellraiser and Wake In Fright. Current work spans electroacoustic drone and healing music project Ôpital, sound installation work at the Warrnambool Art Gallery and independent group music projects Denim Owl, Monnone Alone and The Southern Ocean Sea Band. His solo works traverse the realms of science & art, but centre around folk songs, field recording & experimental music practices related to deep listening within natural systems both microscopic and macrocosmic (sic).
