Lian Husi Timor translates to 'Voice Of Timor.' Members of Warrnambool's vibrant and emerging Timor Leste community created this group initially for a Port Fairy Folkie performance in 2023. The group of 15 local performers dress in traditional tais, belak, kaibauk and use native babadok drums and gongs to present a moving and evocative collection of traditional Tetun folk songs, perform Bidu & Tebe Tebe cultural dances and share contemporary Timor songs of loss and survival.
